Common questions Bangladeshi business owners ask before a redesign
Redesigns start at 50,000 BDT for a standard 5 to 7 page business site. A bigger site with custom sections and a small blog is 90,000 BDT. Larger sites with ecommerce or many service sections are 1,50,000 BDT. Full custom redesigns with their own design system and complex migrations start from 3,00,000 BDT. Payment is 50% advance and 50% on launch, the same as my other services.
Not if it's done properly. In Bangladesh, the biggest cause of ranking loss after a redesign is broken URL migration. Old links point to pages that no longer exist. I set 301 redirects for every existing URL and keep your internal links intact. I also resubmit a fresh sitemap on launch day. Most clients see rankings hold steady within a week. They often improve over the next 6 to 8 weeks because the new site is faster.
Yes. I build the new site on a staging subdomain like staging.yoursite.com.bd. It is password protected, so customers and Google can't see it. You preview it, test it on your phone and give feedback. We polish it until it's right. The switch happens in a quiet window, late at night or on a weekend. There are usually 30 to 60 minutes of brief downtime while DNS updates. Your current site keeps running until then.
Yes. This comes up almost every week. If you control the domain, I can copy your old site's content and screenshot the design. Then I rebuild it on fresh hosting under your own account. If you also lost the domain registrar login, we recover it first through the registrar's identity check. By the time the new site goes live, you will own every login.
Hosting: often yes. Cheap Bangladeshi shared hosting is what makes most older sites slow. I'll recommend a host. Sometimes it's a BD provider. Often it's an international one with a Singapore data center for fast loading in Dhaka. I move everything for you. Domain: no. Your .com or .com.bd stays the same. We keep your current email setup working during the move.
A standard business site redesign takes 3 to 4 weeks from the advance payment. That's about one week of audit and design, two weeks of build and content migration, then a few days of testing and launch. Larger redesigns with ecommerce or membership systems take 5 to 7 weeks.
